Buckshaw Railway Bridge

(April 2011 – September 2011)

This project involved manufacture and installation of two staircases in four sections each; along with a 24 meter span footbridge and all support columns. This was as part of a new station build for park and ride commuters.  The project entailed production of 3D model and fabrication drawings; value engineering; supply of materials; fabrication; all surface finishing to Network Rail N1 specification was undertaken in-house; supply and installation of a warm to touch approved nylon coated handrail system; anti-slip coatings were applied by specialist approved sub-contractors in our workshops and the complete sections were transported to site; full contract lifting of steelwork during rail possessions enabled installation, as well as installation of free issue precast concrete units for the lift shafts.
